X-Rocker PRO

X-Rocker Pro Review

The X Rocker Pro is one of the newest gaming chairs on the market, and it really is a beauty.
The X-Rocker Pro is a wireles gaming chair, and can beam info across 25 feet to the TV. It is compatible with the most popular gaming consoles like the XBOX, PS2, PS3 and wii, as well as compatible with TV, MP3 players and DVD players.

The XRocker Pro has a curved design, making it extremely comfortable during long hours of play, and the arm rests add that extra level of comfort. It is also one of the largest gaming chairs currently on the market. It has a powerful sub-woofer, crystal clear stereo surround speakers, and new enhanced built-in vibration unit, so you get the ‘feel’ every  shot, bunch and crash.

When fully set up the X-Rocker Pro has the following dimensions: 94cm x 62.5cm x 81cm and weighs 25kg. It is however completely foldable for easy storage.

The X-Rocker Pro is highly recommended.

Hi, I want to purchase either your x-rocker pro gaming chair, or the pm450wr. I see that the x-rocker pro is your latest product of the two, and so immediately thought i would buy that model as it would be the better of the two… only i see it sells for less than the pm450wr. I am curious about the price difference. I much prefer the added arm rests on the x-rocker pro as you will be aware this will improve users comfort, i just hope the height and length is adjustable :-). The details on your site about the x-rocker chair dont appear to be promoting it as much as the pm450wr model. Please, can you clarify if the pm450wr is as you say on your site, ‘the largest Pyramat gaming chair ever made, and also has what has to be the Best sound system’. Surely your latest model, the x-rocker pro, has the best sound system now? Your reply on this site would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, i am undecided which chair to buy. I can’t make up my mind between the pm450wr (you say it has the best sound system), the x-rocker pro (it has arm rests) and now i see an x-rocker pro advanced (boysstuff.co.uk). You don’t review the advanced here, and your review of the pm450wr appears to praise it more than the x-rocker pro even though it is a newer model. Could you update your website, or give a better description of the chairs so i can compare sound, comfort and other features please.
Also, i would like to know how the chairs actually receive the sound. I have an xbox360 which transmits and receives sound to the controller wirelessly, as i can use a headset (earpeice and microphone) plugged into the controller. Do the chairs work the same way? ie, is sound wirelessly transmitted from the games consol to the chair, or must a connection be made to the television? In otherwords, if our tv’s do not have a sound output jack, we can’t use the chairs.
I am also wondering, if after all, the sound is transmitted from the xbox to the chair, will the chair sound be in stereo? (I’m afraid i don’t know if the xbox transmits stereo sound) so maybe the chair would need to be connected to a tv for stereo. Please, any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for a reply.

    Hi Zink,

    Thanks for your question.
Our personal choice would always be the PM450 - but this is because we are huge Pyramat fans. The X-Rocker Pro is made by a different company called XRocker. It also is a great chair, and does have something that the PM450 does not…it has a Vibration Unit built in so you will literally feel every shot/bang in the game.
The sound is better on the PM450…but to be honest you will probably not notice the difference between the two. It also has those funky arm rests.
The choice is yours at the end of the day and a price difference of £50 is nothing to be scoffed at.

    Hi Sam,

    Also again very good questions.
Yes the Pm450 does have the best sound system (not that the others are bad, they are just not as good).
We have not got around to reviewing the Xrocker Pro Advanced, but it does look pretty good, and at a very decent price. However it looks like boysstuff are not stocking yet (or out of stock) so yo may need to wait for it to become avaliable.
One thing that that PM450 does not have (that the xrockers do) is a vibration unit built in, which will add that extra element to your gaming experience. Plus the arm rests are proving to be quite popular on the x-rocker chairs.
In terms of transmitting the sound, here is what it says on the boysstuff website:
With its wireless technology you can beam the sound from your gaming console, TV, stereo or DVD from up to 25 feet away, so there are no messy wires or cords across the floor.

As my PS3 has now been updated to the 3.0 firmware it now allows me to have multiple audio outputs (eg. T.V. & gaming chair) so now i will definitely be getting one of these as the price in now just £150!!!

x-rocker pro versus advanced - is price difference worth it? would i be better off going with pro version - better value for money?

also - do they operate on rechargeable batteries?

    Hi

Can you clarify if the X Rocker Pro 2009 gaming chair is HDMI compatible with xbox 360? I notice the X Rocker Pro Advanced plugs in to the “audio out” connection in your tv which makes it compatible but what about the Pro 2009 model?

    Many thanks

Hey, I’m considering buying the XRocker Pro but just wanted to know how sore it is on batteries when wired/wireless? Or is it powered at the mains?
Cheers in advance for a reply.
